Southern
Riders motorcycle training school was established in 1986, the current owners
taking over in 2000. All our instructors are keen and experienced motorcyclists
who use their bikes on a daily basis and get as much pleasure from teaching
as they do from riding. The Driving Standards Agency approves all of our instructors
and checks their standards regularly, thus ensuring that Southern Riders maintains
the reputation for professionalism that we have gained over the last 21 years.
Southern
Riders have trained instructors for other training schools and some
of our instructors are members of the Institute of Advanced Motorists
(IAM) and The Royal Society
for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
We teach
according to the standards laid down by the Driving Standards Agency, the government
body that governs all driver and rider training in the UK. We can provide
all levels of moped and motorcycle training from Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
through to the Direct Access Scheme (DAS) and beyond.
We can
also provide refresher courses as well as Advanced Rider training.
All training courses (with the exception of CBTs) can be conducted
anywhere in West Sussex by prior arrangement if the student provides
their own bike, our instructors will happily pick you up and drop you
back from the site of your choice. Or you can rent a bike from us.
When using hire bikes courses usually start from Lancing or Angmering
or Littlehampton.
